"...Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people."
- Proverbs 14:34

To Our Mayoral Friends

On behalf of the National Day of Prayer task force, I am privileged to invite you to attend the prayer observance in our communities on Thursday, May 5, 2016. We will hold observances at over 51 city halls across the St. Louis metropolitan area, from Noon to 1:00 pm.   For additional  information, see the National Day of Prayer website .

The annual National Day of Prayer was established by federal law in 1952 when the United States passed a joint resolution, which was signed by President Harry Truman. The law was amended in 1988 and signed by President Ronald Reagan, specifically designating the first Thursday in May as the official National Day of Prayer.  Typically, the President and all 50 Governors issue Proclamations for the National Day of Prayer.

You are invited to briefly address the citizens of your local community at the opening of the Events in your area on May 5th Gateway Prayer Events. At your convenience, we would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss the National Day of Prayer Event in our community. Please contact us by email at gatewayndp@yahoo.com, or call us at 888-419-4259.
